Up at 5, at work by 7 and constantly prepared, Chris is one of the unusual creatives that understands two things: 1.) the importance of owning an atomic clock and 2.) why every piece of work we do has to be smart AND interesting. This creative pragamtism was a result of starting his career, not as an art director, but as an account executive working on the EPA's Focus on Energy Program and Merillat Cabinetry. Soon after ditching his khakis and polo, he became an art director after attending the Milwaukee Institute of Art and Design and Chicago Portfolio School. He has worked at several large agencies in Chicago and abroad including Hoffman York, BBDO, Upshot and AdCom. His past client experience includes Fifth-Third Bank, Weber Grill Restaurants, Aurora Health Care, Fannie-May Candies, Arlington Park, The University of Notre Dame, Disney, Wrigley, Intersport (Europe's Sports Authority) and Sun-Rich Gourmet Foods.
In his spare time, Chris teaches eager young art directors and designers at Columbia College and Chicago Portfolio School and serves on the board of a local music education not for profit, Rock for Kids (rocksforkids.com). His work has appeared in CMYK, Luerzer's Archive, Graphis and his mom's fridge. |
